Royston Wilson is a multi international award-winning Australian designer who specialises in resorts, hospitality, bathroom/kitchens and hair/beauty/spas. He is known in the industry as "The Bathroom Guru".
Published in over two hundred different journals and magazines, in Australia, Asia/Pacific region, Europe and the U.S.A.
How did I become a bathroom guru? I fell into it. After winning bathroom awards, I just did more and more bathrooms. I love the challenge of a bathroom. It is usually a small space, which, with creative design and clever ideas, comes alive.
THE APPROACH:
Our style embraces clean lines with the use of colour, (or the subtle illusion of it) to enhance the design. Light and colour is a dominant theme in each sphere of my work. He explains, "Good design needs three things: LIGHT, COLOUR, and FORM. Without colour and light, form has no shape, and good design is accentuated by colour".
He believes that the spaces he designs must fulfill a number of criteria on behalf of the client. These include;
