Blackstar Coffee is a boutique fairtrade organic roastery and espresso bar in the heart of west end. We are passionate about bringing third wave coffee culture to Brisbane, educating peoples pallets with fresh quality espresso made from beans roasted with care so you can still taste their natural sweetness. We also specialise in cold pressed iced coffee in full cream/black and soy which are also handmade from our fresh roasted beans as well. These Cold pressed drinks now have a 'cult' following, each one bottled with love.
Blackstar also holds many events from free screening of documentaries, mini markets on the first Friday of every month, and live music on most Friday and Sat nights.
It is a place that everyone can feel a part of, and being set back from the main strip of coffee shops gives it a relaxed atmosphere. Overlooking an abundant poinsettia tree and housing many 1950's remnant vintage pieces of furniture, crockery and machinery, it takes you away from the mainstream and back to the days of simple wonder. This quaint little haunt is worth hunting down. A handful of lounge chairs scattered under some black umbrellas is all that marks this unassuming, yet brilliant coffee lair in a side street in West End. Yet, BlackStar is quickly becoming one of the premium venues in Brisbane to satisfy your caffeine fix. All the coffee is fair trade, organic and roasted on site, with eclectic blends and mixes shaking up espresso land. The smell here is alarmingly good, while the luscious selection of cakes is to die for.
