Sick of cooking food in other people's kitchens, Richard Gruber decided to leave the hotel cooking industry and start up his own business. The 'Thynne Road Deli and Cafe' is the result, and the locals of Morningside sure are glad about Gruber's career change.
The cafe specialises in serving fresh, organic and tasty breakfast and lunch foods, most of the items on the menu are made completely from scratch daily (try the homemade baked beans). A range of European deli meats (such as wood smoked ham) are also prepared by the team at 'Thynne Road', and available in dishes on their breakfast and lunch menus.
There is a kids menu to cater to the littleuns and pets are welcome to sit outside by the tables. Start your day with a hot home cooked meal (or maybe so muesli if you're feeling like something lighter), then polish off a gourmet sandwich for lunch. Catering and gift vouches available, bookings recommended for the weekends.
