  Due to Elwood's 'Turtle Cafe' coffee laden menu, huge array of vegetarian alternatives, obscure name and kitsch and relaxed interior the cafe is a popular haunt for local hipsters. Don't let that discourage you from visiting. I hear they're kind of okay when you get to know them. Besides, you'll be so caught up in enjoying your meal that you'll hardly care. Run by mother and son team, Frieda and Guy Ezard, the cafe is also extremely popular for those with furry friends (there is a park close by, and a shady nature strip area) and kids (the menu is very child friendly). Absolutely no alcohol, this is a place to unwind with the paper, a coffee and some delicious Turtle Eggs Benedict (hah hah, I see what they did there). Read more
