In January 2010, together with over 30 local artisans, The Curious Oyster Shoppe opened their doors to Thornbury. A year and a half later, the Shoppe has expanded to house 60+ labels.
The Curious Oyster Shoppe offers a range of clothing, giftware and jewellery, that has been handcrafted locally by fellow Melbourne artists.
The Shoppe also holds a small range of select handmade, eco-friendly and fair-trade pieces from Australia and the rest of the world.
Proprietor of the Shoppe, Annaliese van Oosterwijck, is also the maker of organic lip balm label, Nilla Nilla, as well as a number of other niche organic skin care brands.
The focus of the Curious Oyster Shoppe is about showcasing Melbourne's amazing indie art and craft community. It is a place for you to come and discover new and exciting creations made by unknown artists as well as old favourites from established handmade labels...
