Shelley Hubon the founder of HDStreetwise was inspired to invent schemes that would enable people to contribute but not necessarily pay out any money; Backpacks & Water Bottles She was particularly struck by the number of homeless people who carry their few belongings in supermarket bags. Many of the homeless also had no ready access to drinking water. She thought of the many backpacks & water bottles languishing in cupboards unused & put out an appeal. Bathroom Manchester & Toiletries How many of us pick up those bottles of shampoo, & soaps from hotel rooms; thinking we will find a use for them one day, but then they just lie in the bottom drawer & go to waste. Others change their bathroom decore & find it necessary to change their Manchester. Shelley again thought,What a waste how easy would it be to channel these items to people who really need them? The answer was very easy indeed, & so the bathroom program began & is ongoing today, bringing much needed comfort & hygiene to many of Perth homeless .Homeless Birthdays - Each year we should take the time to celebrate our entrance & existence in this world. The Homeless also deserve to feel Special on this day. Shelley has been running, a scheme to sponsor the birthdays of the residents in homeless hostels. The boost to morale & self-esteem, that these gifts from people who the recipients do not know, is immeasurable. Such gracious generosity has caused some people to return to their families, or get back to work & many other minor miracles have stemmed from the agape love shown through this program. The latest initiative has been to open a Preloved clothing shop all items of stock have obtained through the generosity of everyday people, these donations enable us to provide very low cost items on retail bases assisting us to assist others. Hdstreetwise is working with unemployment agencies to provide free garments to enable disadvantaged individuals seeking employment to be outfitted appropriately
