Mindfulness is the presence of a calm, alert, steady, deliberate but choiceless awareness of, and bare but curious attention to, the action of the present moment.
Mindfulness is training in self-culture, self-improvement and self-help.
A meditation master and instuctor, I train and coach people, either individually or in groups, as well as corporate and other clients, in Mindfulness and Mindfulness (Insight) Meditation, both of which have been shown to be empoweringly effective for self-care as well as for personal and professional self-development.
On a one-to-one basis I train and counsel people how to use Mindfulness in their daily lives, whether in its own right or as an adjunct to other therapeutic modalities. I receive clients either upon self-request or upon referral from psychiatrists or psychologists.
I also teach groups. The objectives of my non-sectarian, cross-cultural training sessions, workshops and information presentations - whether full-day, half-day, or in the form of power breakfasts or lunches - are, firstly, to assist and empower business leaders, lawyers and other professionals to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace as well as their overall wellbeing and to work more collaboratively with their workmates and colleagues, and, secondly, to foster ethical behaviour, so as to better serve their clients, by means of the regular use of certain practices and principles known as Mindfulness of which Mindfulness Meditation, in its secular form, is an integral part.
