I listen very carefully to what you say and give you the space to be aware of your feelings and to express them. I will help you work through past events and how they affect you now. We can embrace and explore your concerns, fears, hopes and wishes. You can go along on a journey towards realising your true self, where you may begin to feel more free and alive, with courage and purpose. I follow the professional ethics and guidelines set out by the professional counselling organisations with whom I am a Member. They have strict requirements for membership and assess eligibility through Counselling/Psychotherapy qualifications of a high standard, professional and regular supervision, continuous professional development and an ethical and professional conduct.
I work Integratively with various modalities or theories, not just one. I have been involved in counselling since 2001, initially as a Samaritans listener, a 24/7 service for those in emotional crisis who may be feeling suicidal.
In 2004, I began my professional training and 3 years later qualified as a professional counsellor. I was a young persons counsellor (ages 11 to 25) and a school counsellor. I later started private practice.
