Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) are therapeutic interventions where horses are co-therapists. EAP can be used to work with a variety of psychological difficulties including relationship problems, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, trauma and many others. EAL is used for personal growth and discovery, helping people make positive change and improve overall well-being. Equine Psychotherapy SA follows the Equine Psychotherapy Institute model of practice which has strong foundations in psychological theory and practice and places great importance on the relationships between the horses, client and therapist.
