Latin Jive originated in France as a blend between the American GI's jitter bug and the smoother French rock and roll varieties. Over time it developed to encompass an eclectic mix of hot moves from Street Latin, Jive, Dirty Dancing and other styles. Le Bop has now diverged from all other dance styles and is a complete style in its own right. Set to todayâ??s popular music as heard on commercial radio, Le bop is an extremely popular and addictive dance style!
As a very open style of dance, it is able to borrow moves, shapes and feelings from all other dance styles; and with no emotion imbued within the dance, any piece of music can be interpreted by the dancers and choreographer as they see fit. Add to the core basic moves dips and tricks and latin jive is an exciting new dance style with almost limitless possibilities!
