Honey Electrical has been an electrical contracting business since 2008 undertaking electrical, telecommunication, and security skills required by the Queensland electrical and communications industry.
The business was started by Luke who has been in the electrical industry for 10 years and a fully qualified electrician for 6 years. He also has a science background in physics including photovoltaics.
Honey Electrical has experience in various areas of the electrical, communications, and security industry. Undertaking tasks such as emergency and breakdown maintenance, preventative maintenance (e.g. condition based assessments, lifecycle analysis and reporting), new installations (e.g. construction works including lighting, power, and data), renovations, and testing and commissioning (e.g. test & tag, installation testing, RCD testing, and safety checks) as required by an electrician. All duties are undertaken according to the Electrical Safety Act, Electrical Safety Regulation, AS3000, AS 3080, Workplace Health & Safety Act and other legislation, codes or standards.
More specifically duties included programming, installing and commissioning PLCs, C-Bus, Nexus and Clevertronic controllers. Supply and installation of soft wiring, general wiring, general and emergency lighting and associated controls. Supply, installation and repair of solar electrical systems (stand alone or grid connect). Supply, installation and repair of switchboards from small domestic boards up to 2000A three phase industrial enclosures. Supply, install, test and commission data cabling (up to Cat. 6) and optical fibre cabling (single and multimode at different frequencies). Providing energy assessments and reporting including using data logging equipment.
