Testing is available in the Extra Low Frequency (ELF) ranges from High Voltage Power Lines, transmission lines, substations, transformers, as well as household wiring and appliances, including magnetic (AC) and electric (AC) fields. Radio Frequencies (RF) from mobile phone towers, wireless technologies. Building Biology Queensland will also test for static fields (electrostatic and magnetostatic), as these interfere with air quality, computer and electronic equipment and health.
Solutions aim to eliminate, reduce or minimize exposure to electromagnetic radiation for protection of health and family, particularly in areas where a lot of time is spent, such as sleeping areas and working areas. Setting up offices for protection of workers and computer equipment. Shielding solutions can be provided, with specialized and tested shielding materials sourced through Yshield (Germany).
Design advice for low EMF houses for new buildings or renovations, as is becoming common practice in European countries, is available to avoid the majority of EMF/EMR issues before they arise.
