More than 200 years after Australia’s first growers’ market operated on the same site, the weekly Parramatta Farmers’ Market in Church St mall is a Saturday fixture for local foodies. The market offers fresh fruit and juices, breads, vegetables, local lamb and beef, smoked seafood, cheeses and pates and now arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing and homewares to boot. And it’s all just a two-minute stroll from the train station.
