I established the gallery in 2013 with a vision to bring contemporary and fine art to the evolving, edgy West End of Newcastle. The gallery is housed within the former Bellevue Hotel, an historic hotel dating back to 1885 and located on the corner of Hunter and Bellevue Streets. Taking 12 months of long hours to completely renovate the interior we transformed the derelict old pub into a spacious light-filled gallery. We have two main rooms, known as the Hunter and the Bellevue both with large wall and floor spaces which provide plenty of display options for artists. These spaces are complimented by movable pieces including partitions, plinths and seating. Cstudios exhibits 2D, 3D, digital, contemporary and fine art across all formats: paintings, photography, pottery, sculpture, and jewellery. We support both mid-career and emerging artists and also showcase the works of local, national and international artists. The gallery also contains a number of collection pieces. Read more
