World famous for its size and the sheer volume of things you can get here, no trip to the Sunshine Coast would be complete without a wander through the Eumundi Markets. Eumundi becomes overrun with people out to find that special item as the whole town transforms to cope with the extra patronage the markets bring every Wednesday and Saturday.
Jewellery, food, music, arts and crafts, garden gnomes, clothes and pretty much anything else you can think of is sure to be tucked away here somewhere.
With so many stalls selling such a massive variety of products make sure you leave the better part of a day to explore the one of the Southern Hemisphere's biggest markets.
For alfresco spending, Eumundi has South-East Queensland covered. It’s an organic wonderland with everything from cheeses, wine and skincare, to jewellery, artwork, pottery and more. The ethos here is “make it, bake it, grow it, sew it”. The markets have been running for 30 years and attract about 1.6 million visitors a year. This town, also famous for its beer, embraces a strong community spirit. Markets are open all day Saturday and Wednesday.
