AURUM JEWELS OPENS IN BURNSIDE VILLAGE
After leaving Chez Jewels in 2002, having worked for nearly twenty years with Ann Middleton, Brigitte Zollo has now returned to Burnside Village, creating a marvellous boutique called Aurum Jewels, formerly known as Casa D'Oro, Manufacturing Jewellers.
Brigitte fondly remembers the old Chez Jewels, it is the time when she was the resident valuer, and managed day to day operations when Ann was unavailable.
In the meantime besides the Burnside Village shop, Brigitte and Tony created a futuristic looking jewellery boutique called Aurum, at 254 Rundle Street. As well as that, they have a boutique in Mosman, which has just been refurbished and trades at its original name of Silk Route..
Aurum Jewels carry exclusive ranges from Europe's most prestigious jewellery manufacturing houses, including OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN.
Founded in 1963 by goldsmith Ole Lynggaard. OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN is one of the most respected jewellers of timeless elegant fine jewellery.
Handcrafting is their passion. That is why there are today 45 goldsmiths, who collectively form the largest goldsmith workshop in Scandinavia.
In 2013 Brigitte and Tony participated in the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the famed designer and goldsmith Ole Lynggaard, in Copenhagen.
The experience was a thrill for them both, meeting the Lynggaard family, including founder Ole and Charlotte, who is a distinguished designer in her own right, and enjoying a magnificent live performance heralding the 50th anniversary of Ole Lynggaard's jewellery, with adorned models and scenography.
In 2008, OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN was appointed Purveyor to the Danish Royal Court. Charlotte designed a majestic tiara for the Royal Danish family,
including Australian Princess Mary, who is often seen wearing Ole Lynggaard
Copenhagen's creations.
