The Yass Karate Dojo and family fitness centre is a fully registered member of the International & Australian Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate Federation's (IOGKF & AOGKF). The Dojo operates out of the Yass Basketball stadium under the leadership of Sensei Vince Robinson. Okinawan Goju-ryu is a style rich in history and variety, and the link between the style & Yass is also the same. The AOGKF had a Dojo in the area for many years under the late Shihan David Lambert. Sensei Vince Robinson is a relation of the former and also has a wealth of knowledge and International training experience to bring to each class.
Goju-ryu is a traditional martial art, translating to 'Hard & Soft' Style, meaning there is something for everyone to find from classes. Goju-ryu is recognised as an ancient martial art by the Japanese government and the grand master Sensei Vince learns from is also recognised as the worlds leading authority on the art. Goju-ryu is original style for many other styles such as Gokan ryu and others.
