The Cowes Medical Centre (formally known as Phillip Island Medical Group) was the original clinic opened for the community since 1982 in rooms next to the previously known Warley Hospital.
In 2007 the purpose-built consulting, and treatment rooms were opened to provide medical services to the growing population of the patients on Phillip Island and surrounding towns as well as aiming to meet the annual influx of tourists.
In May 2013, the Medical & Aged Care Group (MAACG Medical) acquired the practice to move the facilities and services forward in meeting the ongoing health service demands within the region
