ABOUT US: Scarborough Lights is a not-for-profit Group of volunteers who formed in 2006 with the aim of ""Bringing Back that Old-fashioned Christmas Spirit."" Everything we do revolves around this theme. WHAT WE DO: Scarborough Lights works closely with the Moreton Bay Regional Council at the ""Christmas by the Sea"" Event which is held annually on the first Saturday in December. Scarborough Lights is responsible, both financialy and oganisationally, for the Christmas Street Parade, the Markets and the Fireworks at this annual Event, and also for those ten HUGE Christmas Trees along Landsborough Avenue at Scarborough. We also provide the opportunity for Communtiy Groups and Charities to get a stall at the Event free of charge so that they can fundraise through providing food and/or market stalls. Read more
