Dr Shammas is highly experienced in Obstetrics including the management high risk pregnancy and fertility . She also treats all gynaecological condition which includes: 1- Heavy periods (Menorrhagia), 2- Pelvic organ prolapse, 3- Urinary Incontinence, 4- Pelvic masses including ovarian cyst, 5- Fibroids, 6- Menopausal symptoms. 7- Sexual dysfunction such as Vaginismus, 8- Pelvic pain, Abnormal pap smears (colposcopy). Dr Shammas is trained in minimally invasive surgery and she is a certified Colposcopic for abnormal pap smear and most Gynaecological procedures are performed laparoscopically (key hole surgery) that means a faster recovery such as: A-Ovarian cystectomy. B- Hysterectomy and excision of endometriosis. She also has a special interest in vaginal and vulva plastics, reconstructive & repair surgery for Obstetric care. Dr Shammas is an advocate of natural birth, and supports women with twin pregnancies, previous caesarean sections and uncomplicated breech presentation to have natural birth.
