Girl Guides Australia was established in 1910 and has since become one of the nation's leading volunteer movements for women and girls. Girl Guides Australia is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Today, WAGGGS has ten million members based in over one hundred and fifty nations.

Who can join Girl Guides?
- Youth members can begin Guides from five years
- Junior Leaders can begin at fourteen years
- Leaders can begin at eighteen years
Lindfield District currently has two thriving units of Junior Guides and Guides.
