I graduated from my podiatry degree with honours in 2010. Since this time, I have worked at a busy podiatry clinic for three and a half years and worked as a short term locum at other practices. I currently continue to teach podiatry students at Southern Cross University.
In September 2014 I commenced operation as a private practitioner within the Southern Cross University Health Clinic at Bilinga on the Gold Coast. The goal of Alex Terrill Podiatry is to provide a experienced, comprehensive, holistic modern approach to lower limb pathology diagnosis and treatment. I use modern health technologies, including diagnostic ultrasound, video gait analysis and computer aided orthotic manufacture as appropriate. Whilst I have access to, and regularly use this fantastic equipment, I believe the key to successful podiatry practice is a thorough assessment and hands on approach to treatment. I strongly believe that the technology should supplement a manual assessment, diagnosis and treatment â?? not replace it.
I provide modern innovative treatments including Shock Wave Therapy for soft tissue injuries and Laser therapy for onychomycosis (fungal nail infections).
