The School at AIPA (formally KICK Performance Group) offers over 100 classes each week to students of all ages and abilities. Our number one goal is to foster a love of performing arts in all our students; whether it is their very first lesson as a tiny tot with mum, dad or gran or you are a pre-professional student studying fulltime at AIPA. We donâ??t have favourites or stage mums here, we simply concentrate on offering great, industry relevant classes and programmes.
The School at AIPA has a different approach to most schools. We put the person before the performer and design individual programmes for each student. We advise parents of minors when it is time to take the next step for skill development and confidence. For our adult students we talk to you on a regular basis about where youâ??re at and what you want to do next.
Written reports are issued twice a year and each term an open class is held so that parents and friends can witness the progress.
We encourage students, once they are in high school and serious about their craft to study a short course with AIPA in the US in their chosen field. This is not compulsory, but gives students a solid training goal to work towards. Our students have been part of many world firsts including the first Australian performers in the Macyâ??s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC (2005), the first Australians in The Hollywood Christmas Parade (2013), the first school to be invited back to perform at Universal Studios four years in a row with our performances used as promotional material for the park.
Our success rate (when comparing the number of our current and ex-students actively working vs our enrolment) is higher than any other school in Sydney and we are very proud of this achievement.
With classes offered seven days a week, we look forward to speaking with you and welcoming you to the school at AIPA.
