Based here you can fish, ski, bushwalk, visit the Yarrangobilly Caves, go horse-riding and still enjoy the convenience of a small country town. There is a supermarket, a Post Office with Internet and banking facilities, automatic teller machines, a bakery, café, craft shop, charity shop, a bistro at the Bowling Club, Hotel, nine-hole golf course and a swimming pool open in summer. There is also a wonderful Easter Fair and the Adaminaby Cup Day, on the last Saturday in November - what more could you want!
