The Bonney Family have been in Deloraine since it was proclaimed a town in 1829 and have owned the farm since 1868. One of the units is named after their famous aviator relative Bert Hinkler, who visited the farm in 1928 after his record-breaking solo flight from England to Australia. Another is named for another relative, Bill Woodfull who was Australian Cricket Captain from 1926 to 1932.
