The Stirling Range Retreat offers two bedroom chalets in the heart of the Stirling Ranges. Here is 35 acres of conserved habitat with a network of nature observation trails linking accommodation. There are numerous opportunities for wildflower discovery, bushwalking, bird-watching and star-gazing. We are opposite Bluff Knoll Road and share a boundary with national heritage listed Stirling Range National Park, which is world renowned for plant diversity. It’s a mecca for nature lovers, artists, writers, photographers and hikers. Open all year, accommodation includes air-conditioned two bedroom chalets with bedding provided; cosy single room cabins and powered and un-powered camp sites. We recommend to be prepared to self-cater. Some frozen food items and basket breakfasts to cook are available. Our bird list shows over 80 species recorded by Birds Australia volunteers. Grey kangaroos, ant eaters (a very lucky sighting) and brush tail possums inhabit our conserved bush which is set aside for wildlife. As with all wildlife living in a free environment, sightings are opportunistic and can’t be guaranteed. Stirling Range Retreat is a real eco-tourism destination with accommodation, located one hour’s easy drive of Albany.
