When the first 16ft skiff set sail out onto Manly Cove in 1921 from the very site we are situated on this day, the crew and officials on the day may not have realised the significance of that special day. But in the many years that have followed, as each new generation of sailors has emerged, the Manly Skiff Club has remained dedicated to its grass roots and loyal to the sport of sailing on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
The Club itself offers two bars, harbourside brasserie, a functions/conference room which caters for up to 140 guests, and an over-water deck for dining and informal get togethers. There is regular in-house entertainment as well as members events & promotions.
Our 16ft & 13ft skiff fleets race on most Saturdays during the sailing season which commences at the beginning of September each year and finishes around Easter the following year and we have a fleet of around 28 16ft skiffs, 13 13ft skiffs, 18 Flying Elevens and 20 Manly Juniors racing each week, plus our popular Learn To Sail childrens courses.
