Chito-Ryu is a traditional form of Karate with an international headquarters in Japan. The founder Dr Chitose (1898-1984) was a medical doctor that studied at the prestigious Tokyo University. Dr Chitose came from a renowned martial arts family and was instructed by the most famous names in the Karate world at the time. In 1952 Dr Chitose developed the style of Chito-Ryu based on his lifetime of Karate training and medical knowledge of physiology. Chito-Ryu retains the devastating self defence techniques of the fighting tradition and yet is particularly beneficial for ones health. Get wet surf school is the only surf school in the southern hemisphere that can offer you perfect waves and perfect conditions all year round. We offer Beach lessons daily at one of the Gold Coasts most ideal locations and when beaches are less than perfect we can also offer lessons in the White Water Worlds wave pool. Our beach lessons are held just a few short kilometres north of Surfers Paradise, at a place called The Spit. This is one of the last undeveloped areas on the Gold Coast and it is a true locals spot. Protected from the Sea way wall, the spit provides perfect conditions for beginners and intermediates we hold group lessons, with no more than 6 students per coach, daily at 10am and 1pm. The wave pool offers a safe fun environment for people of all ages and fitness levels to learn the skills of surfing without rips, tides or currents, without the threat of marine stingers, with perfect controlled waves and heated water in winter. Wave pool surfing allows you to gain skill and confidence before you hit the beach. Lesson packages including park entry to White Water World or Dreamworld, even two world entry.
