Southern District Magpies Cricket Club Inc. known as Souths Magpies was first established in 1966 and was one of the inaugural clubs to play in the Toowoomba Cricket competition.
Throughout the 50 years Souths have enjoyed success on and off the field with Premiership Wins in the Toowoomba Cricket competition and many players going on to representative duties with Toowoomba and beyond.
Our training fields and faculties are amongst the best in Toowoomba. Middle Ridge Park in Stenner Street is our home senior grounds and we have three club net and one public net ? all with lights that enable us to train at night. Our equipment shed with all our training aids is also located at Middle Ridge Park. We also enjoy the use of Anderson Park (near Centenary Heights School) with three club nets and one public net.
Souths Magpies have long had a reputation for playing cricket with a strong culture of fun and family along with way. Our juniors have always been a very strong part of our club with a family friendly feeling throughout the competition with a focus on sportsmanship and participation. Cricket should be fun and social for all players ? girls, boys, men and women.
Combined with our senior teams we are bringing our community together ? keeping active and creating networks.
