47 Butterflies. What you will find here is the combination of four of my many loves in life... magazines, stationery, design and the environment. Greeting cards, gift tags, paper decorations and party packs have all been created and designed from magazines, 100% recycled paper and printed with 100% vegetable based inks.
47 Butterflies was conceived from an idea to create greeting cards that had very little impact on the environment. Cutting, pasting and using what resources I had around me, namely my very big magazine collection, I began to create my unique greeting cards. As my ideas and enthusiasm began to grow so did my projects which expanded to gift tags, journals and paper decorations.
Drawing on my years of experience within marketing and graphic design has helped to evolve my ideas to a reality along with the resources from various suppliers who provide environmentally friendly paper, printers and packaging.
I believe we all need passion in life and creating these unique paper goods is just one of the many things that I am passionate about. It provides me with a sense of satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment which gives me the motivation to continue my work and to embrace the other great things in my life.
