Begin Bright Harrington Park offer two levels of School Readiness Classes; Green Level for 3-4 year olds and Yellow Level for 4-5 year olds.
Both levels are one hour long sessions and class size is limited to 8 children, therefore allowing for more focused instruction for each child. We use worksheets, games, songs and craft to help consolidate learning. We practice hearing the sound, saying it using correct articulation, tracing it, writing it using correct formation and identifying words that start with that sound.
Our classes are fun and interactive, proving to build children's confidence and give them a positive foundation and good attitude to what will be a lifetime of learning.
In addition, our classes also assist in extending attention span, developing fine motor control (through cutting, drawing, writing and craft), and increasing the ability to follow directions and complete set tasks. We also focus on name identification and writing. All of theses are important skills essential for the smooth transition to Kindergarten.
Begin Bright's fantastic team of Tuition Teachers are all trained teachers who are currently working with or have recently retired from the Department of Education. They have a wealth of skill, knowledge and experience. Our Teachers target the children's needs by completing an assessment on your child in their first class and then design a Tutoring Plan based on their identified weaknesses, strengths and interests. Classes are provided in a bright, fun, happy and safe environment. They use traditional teaching methods, using a blackboard, whiteboard and worksheets, as well as incorporating the use of concrete materials, games and technology to help consolidate learning. As each child feels success in their learning, their confidence soars, so does their ability and knowledge and an upward cycle of learning whilst having fun begins.
