Julia Gilmore (MEd,BEd,DipTch) is an experienced Specialist Teacher who provides home or in-centre tuition for students who are not achieving their full academic potential. From Pre Primary to Year 12, students are assessed and reports and action plans are provided to help with literacy and numeracy skills, study skills and self esteem development.
Caring teachers create a warm, friendly learning environment and students start to improve immediately.
All staff must have Working With Children checks and Federal Police Clearance.
So many highly intelligent students are failing to achieve their true potential at school. Some struggle with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, but others are bored and need extension programs and the stimulation of being encouraged to think laterally.
There are many types of individualised programs provided at A1 Learning including reading, comprehension, written expression, handwriting, phonics, spelling, grammar and editing. Mathematic programs for primary and secondary students are so highly successful that students stay on for extension work, even after they have caught up at school and are scoring A's.
Parents often need the support and reassurance of a caring, unbiased professional, who can help with their child. Students are brought to see Julia by worried parents for many reasons, which is why each student is treated as an individual. There are no generic programs at A1 Learning!
Parents are encouraged to contact Julia for an informal chat if they are concerned about any aspect of their child's educational journey through school.
