Barnadown Run - named after the original pastoral lease which encompassed the property - is a 40-hectare property on the western slopes of the Mount Camel Range, 20 kilometres north of Heathcote. The cellar door is exactly that - stroll through to view the hands-on functions of a working winery in action. Barnadown Run's founder and winemaker, Andrew Millis, produces wines rated by both Robert Parker Jnr and James Halliday as big and intense, deep in colour, powerful in the bouquet, and with a palate that provides dense ripe fruit flavours of plums and prunes. The flagship wine of Barnadown Run is their "Henry Bennett's Voluptuary". The ethic behind the shiraz, cabernet and merlot of Barnadown Run is passion. The cellar door is usually open, but it is recommended to make an appointment first.
