The focus of Paperbark Web Design is on creating affordable websites and 'social media networks' for small businesses, not-for-profits, events and artists.
This is a very small business, and I aim to be very approachable and non-intimidating. I am happy to explain the process in simple terms.
The first step will be a website, but in addition we can explore other marketing options such as do you need a Facebook page? A Twitter feed? A LinkedIn profile? A Pinterest profile?
It's often best to start with the minimum and expand as your business' needs grow. The WordPress platform I use allows us to do just that.
Once your site is designed and launched, you become the owner. Many web design firms won't allow you to do this, so you end up being bound to them financially indefinitely.
Instead, I offer clients the option to learn how to manage their websites, which can result in a substantial cost saving. It's not as difficult as it seems. Or if you don't have time or the desire to manage it yourself, I can do it for you.
As a professional writer and editor, I will also help to draft your written content if that is not your strong point.
I use local graphic designers and photographers as needed.
I welcome any questions about setting up your online presence because it can be a bit confusing to get started!
