Australian-born journalist and public relations manager Steven Andrew founded Sydney-based PR firm SRA Communications in 1998 after 10 years in newspapers and seven in public relations. His past and present clients include business publisher Thomson Reuters, Edge Custom Media, The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation, accounting software manufacturer MYOB, the National Safety Council of Australia, St George Bank, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, US publisher Waters, scanning equipment manufacturer CubiCal and Sydney Northern Beaches Visitor Association. Steven is a regular contributor to national industrial relations title Workforce and environmental publication Environmental Manager, and relieving editor for a number of Thomson titles, including HR Report and Occupational Health Newsletter. His news reports on corporate governance matters have appeared in a number of national magazines including Thomson Reuters Workplace Review, the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers Australia (APESMA) Professional Network, and the National Safety Council of Australia National Safety. Steven is the author of two books on corporate governance Remuneration and Reward Strategies and Inside Employee Screening (co-authored with former senior partner at Harmers Workplace Lawyers and now managing principal of People + Culture Strategies Joydeep Hor). Steven has worked as a PR account manager in Australia and the UK. Steven started his career at News Ltd as a news reporter, going on to edit two of its newspapers. He is married with two children and lives on Sydney's northern beaches.
