8 Bit Burgers

Original 8bit in the West. Popular burger joint on brioche buns and thick shakes to wash down!

This place serves the best burgers in the west hands down!

I have been waiting to find the right opportunity to have a bite to eat here. Each time either walking pass or driving pass this small corner Shop in Footscray it's always busy. We ordered 4 different burgers from the vegetarian, chicken, cheese Burger & beef/bacon. Unfortunately each of us that ate the Burgers feel that it wasn't the best. The buns were burnt & hard. Didn't taste all that great almost lacking seasoning of some kind with the meat. The burgers range from $10-14, for this price & not even getting any chips I felt that it was probably spent better elsewhere.

This place does great burgers but are expensive. A burger with chips and milkshake will set you back approximately 20 dollars. Their buns are nice and fresh and they make their burgers infront of you. Very fresh tasty. My favoruite milkshake is the salted caramel milkshake.

Their burgers taste the way you imagine burgers should taste. I recommend the 1-up Burger with a meat patty put in. Even your basic 8bit burger is a great option. 8bit burgers don't feel as dirty and American as Huxtaburger and are cheaper than Grill'd, giving you that straight-up burger taste without the regret or the price tag. Their milkshakes are amazing too- try one of their blended chocolate bar milkshakes, they rotate every week. They may be your only good burger option in Footscray, but they opened a new store in the city on the corner of Little Bourke and Swanston, worth going to even with the options the city provides.
