ABC Scuba Diving Port Douglas

Definitely a highlight of our trip to Port Douglas. So glad we paid that little bit extra for a smaller tour group. We had 8 people on our tour with 4 of the best crew going around! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and took the time to answer questions and explain things to you. 4 people were booked for diving and 4 of us for snorkelling. Being 30 weeks pregnant I had no choice but to snorkel but not once did I feel like I was missing out! Jay jumped into the water with us and pointed out so many things I would have missed if not for him, we also got the option to snorkel between the different stops which was wonderful. Another great day out with ABC Divers ,exploring new sites and the personalised service makes for an exciting day on the reef , no crowds or boring dive sites on this boat. The crew are very informative and go out of their way to make the day a great experience for both divers and snorkelers. I know I will be booking my dive buddies onboard with them when they visit PortDouglas

Had a fabulous day out on the reef. This was my first dive as a certified diver. As a newbie, I was pretty nervous about if I forgot things etc but jo from abc really made me feel comfortable and guided me through it. We also had more experienced divers on the boat and they said it was great too. I recommend to all divers of all levels of experiences

The groups were small so it felt more like a day with friends than a cattle car that you can expect from some of the bigger companies.

The whole crew was exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

We received a lovely morning tea, lunch, snacks and drinks which was delicious.

I also loved the photos that jay took. They were beautiful and included in the price. I received the Dropbox link in my email by the time I got back to the hostel.

I had no intentions of ever diving. My husband and I booked a snorkeling tour and I was quite happy with that. We went to ABC dive in search of a good mask. We ended up talking in depth with Jay about diving and the Reef. The more we spoke about it and I expressed my fears, he reassured me that there is nothing to worry about. We continued in casual conversation then left. About an hour later we went back in and told him we wanted to book a dive. I am so glad that I overcame my fear of diving, because there is so much to discover while diving. You can absolutely see some while snorkeling but to get down deeper for a longer period of time requires a dive. The three men on board (Jay, Dave, & Richard) helped to make the trip enjoyable. Richard went over everything we needed to know to complete our first dive. When we went down for the first time we had to complete several "tests". My daughter and I spent two days and four dives with Jay, Richard and Dave. They are a great group of guys who work well together to give their guests the best possible experience. We visited four dive sites and saw different areas of the reef each time. The boat is large and comfortable and new, and the equipment is all quite new and in great condition. Jay takes great photos as he leads the group and Richard points out and identifies the various coral and animal life we saw. The dives are unrushed and if you are an efficient breather, you can stay down 75 minutes as my daughter did. Don't think twice about this. Whether you are doing scuba or snorkeling, this is the group to go with!
