A dark, friendly feeling place with African music and decor, the walls painted with big realistic scenes of Ethiopian village life. This has to be one of the best inexpensive dining experiences in Australia. The Ethiopian cuisine is WOW! Choose from the picture-board above the bar - a range of meat and vegetarian dishes, including several mixed plates, all for $10, served on injera bread, which is like a large spongy pancake with a yeasty taste, and it's great - terrific for sopping up the sauces. Most of the food is quite hot (medium) and spicy, so expect that. I recommend Key Wot, a type of beef stew or curry which is out of this world. You use your fingers to grab the food in the injera bread, but the very friendly staff will reluctantly provide battered forks and spoons if asked twice.
