Ainslie Laundrette is a Canberra-based and locally-owned comprehensive laundry business.We offer self-service facilities, or our team can wash, iron, dry clean, tailor and even pick up and deliver your laundry. We generate customer loyalty through conscientious service, expertise and convenience. If you care about your laundry, we care for you!
The Ainslie Laundrette boasts the largest washing machines in any of northern Canberra's small commercial laundromats. With a 7kg capacity, our five new-generation top-loading Speed Queen machines can easily wash large doonas, duvets, mattress toppers and blankets.
The laundrette is always staffed, so self-service customers can feel secure leaving their loads to have a coffee at Edgars Inn, three doors down, or do their grocery shopping at the IGA supermarket two doors up at the Ainslie shops. Free parking means a cost-effective use of your time.
We are Canberra's bespoke ironing service. We professionally iron for members of the professions; lawyers, accountants and those in medical practice. Public servants and business people meeting the PM are assured that they look their best in their clothing, ironed by us. Musicians, sporting men and women, those who have been recently ill or bereaved all seek us out to help them with their ironing chores.

My Fiancé trying to operate her AirBnB uses the Ainslie Laundrette to wash and press sheets. She loved the quality of the wash and press but i would never recommend this business to anyone. They initially lost the last set of sheets and then discovered someone else weirdly picked up and paid for here linen. One of the staff remembered giving the sheets to someone who was not my fiancé but they took so long to work out what happened that they could no longer check cctv footage. While waiting to get this issue resolved my fiance picked up her dry cleaning and found a pair of pants that were not hers and promptly returned the item. Hopefully the real owner gets that item back. Jennifer the manager has been slow to action or acknowledge the problem basically saying “well someone else has picked it up” and gone back on her word for reimbursement for the lost items. What a life saver this laundromat has been! My dog had an accident on my new duvet, and when it didn't fit in my washing machine, my friend recommended I take it to Ainslie Laundrette. When I got it back, the duvet was just as it was when I bought it, save for its lovely new smell of detergents.
