Aqua Spa Retreat

I had a scoopon voucher & was very happy with my massage & facial came out feeling very relaxed & happy . Thank you to the young lady who was very friendly & did a fantastic job :)

We purchased a voucher and redeemed it on my daughter's birthday. Ha! What a joke! I seriously question whether the staff are actually aware of what a massage is! This brings me to question whether the staff are professionally trained. My 'masseur(?)' spent more time straightening and patting the towel than touching my skin. When I questioned this politely I was greeted with the response 'it is a relaxation massage' which I interpret to mean that they "get away" with minimal contact and what they do in the name of being relaxing!!!!!

I dont normally write bad reviews, but I had such an awful experience here that I just couldnt let anyone else have to endure this type of service & go in expecting to have a blissful & relaxing massage or facial when that is not what you get.

I was so looking forward to an hour massage and half hour facial but left feeling bitterly disappointed! We were 15 mins early to our appointment because we thought we would have to fill in some information so they could tailor our massage & facial to our needs but we were taken in for our massage 11 minutes past our appointment time with no apologies. Went here last September on a Groupon (2 hour treatment) and was very impressed so re-booked on the spot and returned today. I asked if I could have something instead of the half hour facial and the receptionist was rude, incredibly unhelpful and confrontational. After a few minutes or arguing in front of a number of other customers that were in the waiting room, it was then agreed that I would just not have the facial and my 2 hour pre-paid treatment would only be 1 hour 30 mins. Nice. I then laid partially dressed in the treatment room for almost 10 minutes listening to them charging around and could clearly hear them 'discussing' me outside the room. The treatment was fine (though was only about 1 hour 20 mins) The therapist was pleasant and did well to ignore an intermittent alarm going on throughout the treatment somewhere else within the building. I had the most wonderful time at this salon. I was a bit concerned after reading the previous reviews, but my massage, facial, and backscrub were all perfect, and I left feeling very pampered and relaxed. A wonderful day!
