There are actually two aviation museums in Adelaide. The one at Parafield Airport focuses more on fighter planes whereas this one is more broader in their displays, though they do a couple of jet fighters, including an F111. However the musuem has more than just jet fighters they also have a bi-plane, and a number of old research planes used by the CSIRO as well as a couple of smaller Cesnas. Okay, they don't have any large passenger jets, but then the hanger in which the museum is located is not all that large. You can climb into some of the planes (though unfortunately not the F-111) and with one of them you can even sit in the cockpit (though with the one at Parafield Airport you get sit in most of the planes). It's not a bad place, especially if you are one of those engineer types, and it isn't all that expensive either. However it can be a little tricky to get to.
