The Bald Faced Stag Hotel is one of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The venue is steeped in history dating back to the 1830's and 1840's. Today we offer a variety of entertainment including live jazz, country, karaoke and blues music as well as pool tables, video jukeboxes, Texas Hold'em poker games, state of the art gaming and full TAB facilities.
Located in the heart of the Inner West, if good music, good food, good people and a friendly atmosphere is what you are looking for then the Bald Faced Stag Hotel is the pub for you.

This is one of those grunge pubs that I just absolutely adore. They have a pretty awesome beer garden out the back, and part of it is even undercover, but it is the atmosphere that I love the most. Being a grunge bar, you can expect live music, and they even have a band room (though, unfortunately, when I was here there wasn't much in the way of live music, namely because it was during the day, but that didn't detract from the place. Oh, and they also have a room with pinball machines and video games, as well as a good selection of beers. It can be a little tricky to get to, but still has an absolute charm about the place.
Chicken & Sons has spread their poultry wings over Sydney giving me three places to feast on the goods. The Horse at Surry Hills, their re-opened venue at Chatswood and a smaller outlet at the Bald Faced Stag in Leichhardt.
The smaller outlet at BFS (Bald Faced Stag) keeps them limited to burgers, fries and sides. But that suits me AOK. It is the ideal burger stop when coming back from West tot he city. There is parking out the back, an awesome little covered courtyard to eat in and fresh on tap beer from inside the pub. Nothing better than a Friday lunch with a cold Kosciuszko Pale Ale and a towering chicken burg out the back. Their Mother Clucker Burger is sensational, The Signature Buttermilk Burger is one of my all time faves and The Out and In is a great beef burg. First burger we tackled - 'The Stag' Burger - Double Beef Pattie, double bacon, double cheese, secret sauce, house pickles, onion, tomato, lettuce. Normally I'm not a fan of double patties but these were extremely juicy, the bacon was crispy and that sauce was the icing on the cake.
