Barmuda

Love coming here on a Saturday or Sunday for brunch. Delicious and honest food and coffee - only downside is the lack of outdoor seating, but overall still a very good cafe!

Have always been happy with the food, friendly staff and the busy but laid back vibe. Great cafe.

This buzzing little cafe is a favourite in which to meet my Newtown friends. The location of the cafe is great, sitting at the end of Australia street just near the hub. It tends to be a great place for people-watching on Saturdays when the markets are on. It is particularly nice on a sunny day to sit out on the pavement. As for the food and service, Ive never had any complaints. The staff are trendy/quirky but not unfriendly and have always been attentive. Last time I was there I ordered scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach. The serving of spinach was generous, the mushrooms big and not too oily and the eggs were done to perfection (for me, firm not sloppy). The coffee was also great. When Ive been there in the past with friends who had an 18 month old, the staff were very friendly and made us feel completely welcome.
