The word 'Resort' could be misleading here. It's a nice place to stay but it's really just a motel. Not a new one at that. The Room I stayed in was 'ok', clean and a comfy bed, spacious and warm. But the room needed a coat of paint, the cupboards were showing their age, the bathroom was sufficient though the hot water came and went a bit.
WiFi for free was handy, staff were very friendly and the pool/spa looked inviting had it gotten above 13 degrees outside!
Nice quiet location too, it was good to awaken to the sound of birds outside the window.
The meals we had here were fine too, but again the word 'Resort' wouldn't really match them. The buffet breakfast was sufficient.
So it's a nice place to stay, I'd go back if the price was right.
Friendly staff, very nice rooms that have been nicely refurbished - bed is extremely comfortable and rooms well cleaned and maintained. Breakfast ample and delicious, and dinner in the Glass room was a delightful surprise - very delicious (stuffed chicken was amazing). Some friends stayed at the Novotel and this hotel was much better maintained. Would stay there again.

Barossa Weintal Resort is going thru a few changes with their new mangement which is great to see. I've checked out the new menu and will be trying it over the next few weeks. Guests can now also hire bikes from the resort. They also do group bike bookings, what a different team idea to beak up a conference; cellar door tastings by bike.
