Basic Black Cafe

I absolutely love this cafe!! Recommend it to everyone, best coffee always made to perfection & perfect temp. Cakes are made at the cafe fresh as can be. Love it just sad I had to move from Parkdale to Brighton but I still go there when I have the chance.

The bloke behind the counter (presumably the owner) is the hardest working man in Parkdale, I believe! He is always there, even on Sundays, with a smile and prompt service. The food is good but the coffees and milkshakes are excellent. The bacon and egg sandwich (buttered on the outside for extra indulgence) is particularly worth checking out. Only gripe is that the decor/atmosphere is a bit bland (but perhaps that's what the name is all about).

An excellent cafe to meet friends and have a chat. Great breakfast menu and coffees are good value.
