Bensville Riding School Pty Ltd
Bensville Riding School is situated on the picturesque Central Coast of NSW, approximately 90 minutes drive from Sydney.
Operating since 1990, our family owned business offers riding tuition for beginners through to advanced, as well as trail rides through the scenic Bensville bushland.
Both adults and children alike can experience the joy of horse riding, as well as learning about equine care and the bond that can develop between a horse and it's rider.
We have school horses to cater for all levels of riding experience. Our horses each have their own personality and temperament, therefore we are able to assign every rider to a horse that will offer them the safest and most enjoyable ride.
Safety is a priority at our riding school. All riders are required to wear a helmet, long pants and closed shoes when on horseback. We require that each rider (or parent/guardian of a child rider) signs an insurance indemnity before they ride.

I have just received a fairly rude email just telling me that if they don't get back to me, obviously there are no spaces... hello?!?
We have a holiday house up there, have tried numerous times to get in contact with them, sent emails, went there several times only to be told we had to email. NEVER got a reply until yesterday... the holiday is over... you obviously do not want our business, so I will never contact you again. I am not sure it can be so very hard just to send people an email and answer when you get it? We have emailed before our holidays, during, been there , then emailed... no anser ever. This is not a business I would recommend
My daughter had her 7th birthday party at Bensville Riding School. It was such a wonderful experience. The grounds were simply charming and we felt very 'at home'. We were able to decorate the 'party' area as we wished and the kids loved playing on the play equipment whilst waiting for their horse ride. The trail ride was picturesque. Walking down the tree-lined private road will stay in my memory forever.
The horses were so beautiful - beautifully natured and ranged in sizes to suit each rider. My daughter has completely fallen in love with the horse she rode... She was in tears that night when I explained we couldn't go there the next day.....
The trainers were so friendly and flexible - one of the guests was running late and the trainers didn't hesitate to offer them a ride when they arrived (as ...read more
My daughter and I both love our trips to Bensville Riding School. My daughter first started to ride there when she was 5 and is still loving her riding at nearly 9. BRS gave her the best start to her riding life, it made her riding safe and fun. Unlike some other riding school BRS also encourages the kids to hang around and under supervision spend some time learning about how to care for the horses and day to day farm life.
Chantelle and her team are all very experienced and they have a great selections of ponies and horses to suit everyone. I would highly recommend BRS to anyone but in particular to parents who want to start their kids off. BRS makes it fun !
We booked six children from our special needs class to try horse riding at the Bensville Riding School. The kids had a fantastic 'Pony Party' and really enjoyed the experience with huge smiles all round.
As well as keeping the kids safe and relaxed on their ride, the staff made the extra effort to help out with games and face painting after the ride, giving a real family feel to the experience and making our kids feel cared for and right at home.
Most of our kids were very worried about riding a horse for the first time, but every child loved the experience so much we had to book another ride for them during the school holidays!
Thanks to staff and the very special ponies at BRS for a great day out!
After no response from the owner to my email regarding my concerns from my daughters overnight camp with 2 friends - I have no choice but to give feedback. My daughter's experience was not a great one. When I left her there it was only after I personally attempted to clean up grotty conditions. My daughters impression was that the day riders took precedence over the camp attendees. Often waiting around doing very little. The little riding instruction they got was good, so perhaps this is where the school should keep their focus on. Other reviews seem to support this aspect of the business. Unfortunately that does not overide the entire poor experience of the 2 day camp. So much more to say.
I have never had anything other than a wonderful response from my daughter when attending camp at Bensville. Would you really rather that that your inexperienced child came home in pain from excessive hours in the saddle? In my experience when my daughter wasn't riding she was learning other aspects of horse care such as feeding, rugging and cleaning up after her horse. All of this is an equally important part of horse care. If you are after 5 star accomodation then perhaps horses aren't for you :)
