Borgs Cakes

Would not reccomend company. Very disappointed in cake. Did not look anything like the picture that was given to company to make. Not worth $200.00 that was paid. When feedback was given company not intrested. This was grand daughters 1st birthday cake. Writing on cake look like a 3 year had written it. Would never buy cake from there again

Ever since I was a kid we have always used Borgs anytime someone wanted a special or large birthday cake and we have never been disappointed.

I love that they specialise in cakes with photos on them and after having one made for my birthday years ago with my favourite celebrity on the top, when work were looking for a big cake with our logo to celebrate the opening of our new site I knew exactly where to go!

We had management from Japan down for the day all of which loved the cake and were very impressed with the professionalism in the decorating and the clarity of our logo on the top. I was given lots of kudos from my boss for reccomending such a place that were able to do the job well under our provided budget.

Borgs do not take responsibility for the failures. They do no acknowledge fault in their correspondence. They take the money for the order and then don't have pride in delivering what they promise. I spend $100 on a cake only for it to be poorly made and not what I ordered. I would give it no stars but the minimum half star was mandatory for posting

There are some things that Borgs do really well. Their mud cakes are fantastic. As is there do-it-yourself packages. But beware. If you do unluckily have a problem, they refuse to take any responsibility and are oblivious to the situation. They email you back but the writing is almost indecipherable with no punction at all, and web chat type abbreviations. Once you do work it out it's full of excuses. I got a really substandard croquembouche from them but had no time to address the situation, it being for a 70th birthday the same day. I had even pre paid three days prior and it was not cheap.
