I went back to this restaurant on Friday and Sunday mornings after a 5 month absence since my last review, having found an alternative and local cafe to enjoy coffee or breakfast. Once we placed our order at the cash register and found ourselves a table, we enjoyed watching the passing parade of little nippers and their families, and cars and surfers arrive for a wonderful day on the beach. Our breakfasts were cooked well and the coffee was great. The staff that brought us our orders were polite. But, come on, pick yourselves up. We had to ask for water on both days. I had to get up on both days to look for sugar for my coffee. On Friday the management (I think) brought us our food and they had shorts and thongs on while their staff wore black/white. This restaurant competes with the local surf club cafe which is cheaper and where you would expect to have to go searching for sugar, but believe it or not, you don't. Please, please, look as if you care.
Found the service quite prompt over this long weekend! Thankfully the plastic blinds were down to keep out the wind and rain. Have previously been here and was told they weren't suitable for windy weather which i found a bit strange as rain normally comes with wind. With the blinds down it made a windy cold morning a lot more enjoyable!
Tried the home made baked beans which were a great addition to the vegetarian breakfast! Vego breakfast was a great size with a good combination of flavours!
New edition of wide screen Friday night football is bound to attract a lot of people!

Thanks for the comments. I am glad you enjoyed the home made baked beans, I was very impressed when the chef made them up for me and just had to add them to the menu!
I understand your confusion over the blinds, the blinds were replaced prior to the new owners taking over and weren't constructed to be strong enough to handle much wind but about a month ago they had them taken away, repaired and strengthened to allow us to provide a much cosier place to enjoy.

Plenty of potential with a good position and decent following. The coffee is up there; a seemingly quality blend that is never bitter. Food quality varies; most recently the bacon was very overcooked and the pancakes doughy. Have never had an issue with the bacon and egg roll though! Much to our amazement, we were told that there was no ice cream left for the milkshakes, despite a general store being next door.
The main issue is likely to do with staff. Tables are consistently slow to be cleared, to the point that we still had the previous persons plates when we received our meal. The floors inside were also quite grubby.
Fix the basics and there could be a winner.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. I will take it on board. It would be helpful if you were able to advise what day of the week you ate with us so that I know which staff to work with in regards to food consistency and clearing of tables?
As for the ice-cream, the general store doesn't actually always have ice-cream in stock which may have been the case when you visited.

Good coffee and great position opposite beach. I found cleanliness of outdoor glass annoyingly dirty and ground littered. Clean up and I will come back.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. Strata and the landlord are supposed to keep that area clean but we struggle to have it done on a regular enough basis and do try our best to keep it clean in between but it can be hard. With salt in the air, the sea breeze daily makes the glass look less than perfect. I will however remind staff to keep a closer eye on how it's all looking.

Great Food and fantastic coffee. I work in Sydney and live on the central coast and I haven't found a nicer, smoother coffee anywhere else (not that I need to look anymore!) It;'s worth the trip out there. You should see the tea selection to its amazing
Great view is the only thing going for this place. Customer service was yet to be desired. As a business owner focus should always be the customer. After placing my order, my coffee served and reading 4 papers later and waiting for 1 1/2 not one person came to see if I would require anything else until I went to them to ask them about my meal. They forgot to place the meal, I ordered to the kitchen. I understand that mistakes happen, but then charging for the coffee I thought was a bit rich. I quite often frequent their with family and friends but after this experience, not anymore.
