After an absence of six months, we returned to Caffe Primo. Firstly we noticed the restaurant has been redecorated, one wall lined with comfortable family size booths, with new appropriate lighting and photos depecting some of their delicious food options, plus four tv screens. On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff and introduced to their new menu. We chose, the chefs salad and a fettuccini carbonara.
Both of a generous size and extremely tasty. Finished off with two well presented Vittoria coffees. Completing another pleasant dining experience.
Caffe Primo is located in the Norwood Central Arcade. The restaurant is spacious, with a large alfresco terrace. The menu has a wide range of Italian style food, chicken, seafood, salads, pasta, risotto, meat, pizza, cakes, coffee, with a huge gelati bar and fully licensed, We chose for dinner, a seafood platter and a prawn pizza. The seafood platter was very generous in size, very well prepared and presented. The pizza was the tastiest I have ever had, no exaggeration. On enquiry with the owner, it is his recipe through years of pizza preparation. Both of these meals, were a delight. We finished with complimentary pancakes, once again they were mouthwatering. As the Hoyts theatres are also in the arcade, Caffe Primo's offer, of a reduced priced movie ticket, three hours free parking, a competitive range of specials including complimetaries, makes this a very affordable package. We were impressed.
