Capalaba Tavern

I came to the tavern because I had heard that they cook delicious food. We had a delicious meal and had spent about $400 on food and drinks. We then went to the gaming area to play the pokies. My group loves the pokies and were sitting in for a good poker session. I could not access cash from my bank card and enquirer about how I can play the pokies without cash. Unfortunately I could not play the pokies unless I could access cash. I was fine with this and asked for a beer. I was told that I was too drunk to be served a beer. 15 minutes later security asked me to leave the venue. I asked security if I appeared drunk. Security said no I was fine. He went to management to contest the decision but was told management had to support he bar attendant. I had to leave which meant my 7 other friends needed to leave too. I have watched punch up in other pubs where people have not been told to leave the pub. I am extremely disappointed about the situation and it ruined my night.

Home of schnitzel. 90% of the menu is schnitzels. If that's not your thing, then don't bother coming. There are some great toppings and you can choose your meat and size. It is counter service so not much interaction with staff after ordering. We found food was delivered quite quickly even though most tables were filled.
